‘I Dare You’ dares Filipino celebrities for a good cause

 

A one of a kind TV program that will change the way Filipino audiences look at celebrities is now airing in the Philippine TV.

ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs division and TV Entertainment Group have joined forces for the first time ever to bring the newest reality show on Philippine TV, “I Dare You”.

I dare you isn’t just a reality show that we see everyday in TV. It is a reality show with heart” says Jericho Rosales, an award-winning actor and one of hosts in the show.

“I Dare You” is also hosted by versatile actress and host Iya Villania and comedy princess Melai Cantiveros. The show aims to test the  flexibilty  and determination of celebrity Kapamilya challengers in helping ordinary Filipinos win a certain reward by entering ordinary peoples lives and experience how is it to be an ordinary people. These ordinary people includes market vendors, teachers in far-flung areas, the laborers, stuntmen, garbage and junk collectors, farmers, senior citizens, people with disability, among others.

The first episode of “I Dare You”, which aired July 11, 2011 Monday, features actor Gab Valenciano and multi-awarded actress Alessandra De Rossi. They together joined Jericho Rosales in his return to his roots in Marikina City, where he carried loads and sold fish in a wet market. The pilot episode garnered different positive comments from social media sites citing the very intelligent concept made by ABS-CBN.

“I  Dare You is here to inspire and challenge people to face their personal trials,  just  like what our  Kapamilyas are doing no matter how difficult their lives are already,” says Iya Villania who also says that the most challenging part of her life is when while she is away from her family.

I dare you is aired on Philippine TV from  Monday  to Friday beginning July 11, before “Mula sa Puso” on ABS-CBN.
