These Strange Signs

I can’t help but keep on noticing this strange signage whenever I go out to hangout these days. These signages were all around lately without specific information into it.

It is basically a big black signage installation with LED lights pertaining to the colors of a traffic light, except that the colors were all mixed up. You might think that it is just a light display at a first glance but it carries a strong message that everyone should be aware of.

The led display, as what I saw, is created by Toyota to promote awareness about responsible drinking and driving. Specifically, it shows ”Alcohol affects your judgment – Toyota.” at the bottom of the sign and that is when it all made sense to me.

As we all know, drinking alcohol can be fun at times (or should I say all the time!) but it can also lead to terrible events such as vehicular accidents as it greatly affects our judgment. The colors on the signage, also represents a traffic light, were all mixed up to ultimately remind us of how drinking alcohol can affect our judgment.

Drinking alcohol is not a crime. Some of us drink to primarily to entertain ourselves or just plainly doing it out of our own reasons. Don’t get me wrong though, I am not, in any way, promoting alcoholic drinks. As what could probably the sign is saying, It is always ok to drink and drive as long as it is not exceeding ones limit. I really cannot speak in behalf of all the drinkers who drink and drive as ones judgment after drinking alcohol may vary. But I once fetch a drunk friend after our 6 hour drinking session, 67 kilometers from site and went home back safe… The key is that I knew my limit!
